Perch classroom pilot

1. Extract perch-pilot.zip. Keep the resulting perch folder on your computer.
2. Open Google Chrome and enter chrome://extensions in the address bar.
3. Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, then select the perch folder
that contains manifest.json. Pin Perch from Chrome's extensions menu.
4. Teachers: open Perch's options (right-click the toolbar icon, then Options)
to create a session. Share the generated student link or session code.
5. Students: open the teacher's perch.classworklab.com link, copy the code,
open the Perch toolbar popup, and paste it into Join a session. Complete
the practice check first and follow your teacher's instructions.

Start with a short practice session. Perch can request access to the quiz site,
pause other Chrome extensions during exams, and mute website notifications
for focus sessions. Settings are restored when the session ends. Reports stay
on the student's device until the student chooses to share them.

The teacher in the room is still the real control. Perch records observations,
not proof of cheating. It cannot see phones or activity outside Chrome. This
standalone extension does not provide the web dashboard or Upmark attestation.

This pilot ZIP is not a Chrome Web Store installation. Managed devices may
block Developer mode or unpacked extensions. Have school IT verify the device
before class; a pilot download does not enable managed force-install.
